Sharing Ideas and Stories about Co-Creating across economic differences

Currently preparing a discussion paper on issues to be managed when members of developed economies try to work with members of subsistence economies to invent usable products and projects.

I am interested in stories of success or frustration in attempts to co-create in groups that span cultural and especially economic conditions. When a designer from a developed economy tries to design a product or project for people in a subsistence economy, are they able to honor and utilize knowledge of local experts? What approaches maximize the creative potential of their interaction/collaboration?

Basic abstract of my approach is:  download
